Our other Cambridge Hotel - Ashley Hotel

Ashley Hotel has been
formed by the skillful
conversion of two very fine
Victorian houses built around
1900.

The bedrooms are beautifully
proportioned and have been
well appointed with
furnishings that are virtually
identical to those at Arundel
House Hotel.

All of the 16 twin, double and
family rooms have private
bathrooms with either a bath
a shower or a combination of
both, together with a WC
and basin.

All the rooms have colour television
direct dial telephone, radio with clock
alarm, hairdryer and there are
facilities for making your own
tea and coffee in the room.

Ashley Hotel is not licenced
and does not have a bar. The
dining room is for breakfast
only, but the Bar, Restaurant
and Conservatory of Arundel
House Hotel, which is within
easy walking distance, all
welcome Ashley Hotel
residents. (see map)

As an Ashley Hotel resident you can charge
any food or drinks consumed at
Arundel House Hotel to your Ashley
Hotel bedroom account using your
electronic door entry card.

There is car parking space for 12 cars at
the back of Ashley Hotel, together with
a small but attractive planted garden.
Beyond the garden is a short path to
the river and the Cambridge University
Boat Houses. The path can be followed
to the city centre across open parkland
(approximately a 15 minute walk).

Check-In Time

Bedrooms are normally available from 12:00
noon - 2:00pm or from 5:00pm - 10:30pm.
If you plan to arrive between 12:00 noon
and 2:00pm please mention this when booking
so that we can ensure your room is ready.
Between 2:00pm and 5:00pm please check in
at Arundel House Hotel first.
You will be issued your room key which also
opens the front door at Ashley Hotel. This
will only take a few minutes, so if you are
not travelling in your own car we recommend
that you ask the taxi to wait while
you check in and then drive you to Ashley
Hotel approx 400 yards away. Other than
taxis there is no transport available to
transfer guests from one hotel to the other.

A credit / debit card is requested from all
customers as part of our check in procedure,
even if this is not the method that will be
used for final payment (ie cash or account).
A valid pin number will need to be entered
for authorisation. We are unable to complete
our check in procedure without a valid card
and a pin entry.

Late Arrivals

If you plan to arrive at the hotel after 10:30pm
please inform reception. Although our entrance
doors are locked, two night porters are on duty
throughout the night monitoring Arundel House
and Ashley Hotel CCTV Cameras. They are also
available for any assistance you may require.
After 10:30pm unless other arrangements are
made please check in at Arundel House Hotel
first as explained above.
