Arundel House Restaurant
The restaurant, which is also adjacent to the bar, has achieved a reputation for providing some of the best food in the area in glorious surroundings. All tastes are catered for, thanks to the wide range of imaginative dishes, that feature on its menu, all freshly prepared in the hotel's scrupulously clean, award winning, kitchens. The menu has a mix of table d’hôte, à la carte, vegetarian and children's dishes.
The refreshing yellow, orange, gold and green colours, the stylish and relaxing upholstered chairs, with a mixture of round and square tables, the crisp white and yellow linen and the oak dressers, decorated with eclectic artefacts, all create an air of contemporary elegance and yet the restaurant is not expensive, hence its popularity with local residents and hotel guests alike. Although the restaurant can seat 85 people, it is divided into three separate areas, thereby creating a more intimate atmosphere.
One section of the restaurant can be closed off for special events such as weddings, anniversary celebrations, birthdays, private dinner parties, business luncheons etc. The hotel has established an excellent reputation for hosting these special occasions and ensures that all memorable, once only, family and business events are always extra special.
Arundel House Conservatory Brasserie
Adjacent to the bar is the hotel's magnificent Victorian Conservatory Brasserie, which can seat 46 people and offers an informal alternative to the Restaurant. Overlooking our tranquil and secluded garden, it is one of the largest Conservatories in the region, with a wide range of beautiful plants, fresh flowers and an impressive central feature, a ficus benjamina tree, whose branches reach up to the roof.
The Conservatory offers a very green environment and like the Bar and Restaurant it is an area entirely free from smoking, mobile phones and laptops so you can relax without disturbance.
The Conservatory, which has a very colonial feel, with rattan armchairs, granite topped tables and tropical pinoleum blinds, is open all day from 9:30am to 10:00pm and has its own specially designed menu offering a wide range of different options throughout the day, including delicious traditional teas in the afternoon, with scones, jam and clotted cream.
In the evening the candlelit tables give the Conservatory a different ambience and during the warm summer months there is seating on the patio, in the hotel's charming enclosed garden, providing al fresco dining for a further 36 people.
